Government to stop money chanting by Mallams And Scammers live on TV, says the Information Minister, Hon. Kwodwo Oppong Nkrumah.
Myinfoghana can reports hat the government has written an official letter to the Bank of Ghana and the National Media Commission to address the issue of scammers and mallams chanting money money on live Television.
Recent domination has been held by scammers and fraudsters in Ghana’s media with chanting of money on live television. Contents of television stations nationwide have mainly been all about money rituals.
Consumers have forged several complaints of these contents as they indicate that such acts need not be given prominence on television but for years, it continues to persist with no signs of mitigation.
Speaking on the Accra-based radio station; Peace FM, Honorable Oppong Nkrumah assured listeners that the government has taken notice of the these indulgences and have strategies policies against them going forward.
He further expatiated by saying, “letter have been given to Bank of Ghana to address the private money chanting as they are the sole preservers of the the country’s currency.
The Minister also indicate that a letter has been written to the National Media Commission that regulates content on various media platforms to draw their attention to the various contents put out there by these media platforms so they can deal with them.
