Coronavirus Hits Awutu Senya East (Kasoa)
In the recent notice from the Ghana Health Service, there are suspected cases of Covid-19 in the Awutu Senya East Municipality.
This news came just after a day the President of the Republic of Ghana lifted the ban on restriction of movements of people.
Per the letter handed to myinfoghana.com, by our trusted source, it is quoted as follows:
“The Awutu Senya East Municipality has recorded two (2) cases of Coronavirus 2019 (Covid-19) as at 20th April, 2020.
As part of measures to ensure community safety to reduce spread, the Awutu Senya East Health Directorate will embark on a wide scale testing of some identified risk groups. The exercise will take place from Tuesday, 21 April to Saturday, 25th April, 2020.
These group will include;
- Health staff of selected departments in various hospitals, clinics and chemical shops
- Police officers
- Commercial drivers
- Staff of Supermarkets
- Staff of selected banks
- Market women
- Selected communities
We wish to ask that all stakeholders remain calm and cooperate with this exercise. We urge all to practice the basic protocols of hand wishing and wearing of nose masks.
