Meet S.V Ried’s Kennedy Kofi Boateng; Blackstars Next Leader In Defends
Young Kennedy Kofi Boateng is the new sensation flying the flag of Ghana high in Austria.
Former West Africa Football Academy graduate Defender, Kennedy Boateng who currently plays for S.V Ried in the Austria 2. Liga is making air waves in Austria.
The 6ft 3in defender is best known for winning aerial duels balls and stoppage with the tenacity of scoring in the opponent’s half.
Kennedy Boateng left the playing grounds of Ghana to join Australia Bundesliga side Lask where he rose from the Junior side to a first team player rapidly.
He was sent on laon to S.V Ried in the 2017 season where he spent almost two seasons.
He was very instrumental and vital to the Ligue 2 side which saw him landing a Permanently deal to the Wikingers.
S.V Ried is currently sitting 1st on the Austria 2 liga table comfortably with 45pts after 19 games.
Unfortunately for the team just like the rest of the world, all sporting activities got suspended due to the global Coronavirus (Covid19) Pandemic.
The exciting talent is hopeful to help the team win promotion to the Austria Bundesliga when football finally resumes.
Through his conscious efforts and hardwork, Kennedy Boateng was voted one of the best players in the Austria 2. liga by fans.
This award is held at the half of the season with three nominations. He earned a nomination and scooped the second place.
Energetic and tall as he is, he has earned himself praises and love from the fans of S.V Ried and across match centers upon evidence of his outputs.
Kennedy Boateng was part of the 2015 Ghana U20 team in New Zealand but was pulled out due to injury worries.
Now 23yrs of age, his vision is a targeted spot in the current Black Stars team and also to breakthrough into any of the big five European Leagues and become one of the world best defenders.
